It is with regret that Brian Lawrance (Acting Chairman) and Maggie Yates (General Secretary)
Have resigned their positions as committee members as well as Peter the Site Construction Manager. We would like to thank them for all they have contributed to Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare and wish them well for the future.
Whatever you have heard on the grapevine, Noah’s Ark is still operational, so it’s BUSINESS AS USUAL.
We still need your support with e.g. donations, memberships and sponsorship. We also need volunteers for feeding, walking and cleaning at the site, so if you can spare just a few hours a week, let us know.
Forthcoming events
Car boot sale at Faliraki on 16th March 2008
Coffee morning at Viv’s (the little zoo) in Gennadi on 22nd March 2008 from 11am – 2pm.
Direction arrows from bakery in the centre of the village onwards.
A members meeting will be announced at a later date.
The Municipality of Lindos today found itself the subject of rumours concerning bad intentions towards the strays of the village.
At Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare we are at the beginning of closer co-operation which should result in positive action being taken for the welfare of the animals.
The Municipality of Lindos has supported us in every way we have requested during the past year and this co-operation looks likely to be extended in to the coming season..
We believe these rumours to be totally without foundation and wish to thank the Municipality for all their assistance.
Ο Δήμος Λινδίων βρέθηκε σήμερα στην δυσάρεστη θέση – από τα Μ.Μ.Ε. – να απολογείται για τις φημολογούμενες κακές του προθέσεις έναντι των αδεσπότων του χωριού.
Η καλύτερη απόδειξη που εμεις σαν Φιλοζωικό σωματείο («Η Κοβωτός του Νώε») μπορούμε να φέρουμε για τις καλές τους προθέσεις αντίθετα, είναι το γεγονός οτι είμαστε στην αρχή μιας στενώτερης συνεργασίας με τις καλύτερες των προοπτικών (για ένα πιο ρόδινο και πολιτισμένο μέλλον για τα αδέσποτα), πέρα απο το οτι μας υποστήριξαν στο παρελθόν ως Δήμος κάθε φορά που τους ζητήθηκε.
Μπορούμε άρα κατηγορηματικά να δηλώσουμε οτι δεν έχουμε αντιλειφθεί τίποτα που συνηγορεί υπέρ των φημών – το τελείως αντίθετο.

Due to personal reasons, Joan Purcell has resigned as chairman of Noah's Ark Animal Welfare. Acting chairman is Brian Lawrance and the role of treasurer has been assumed by Cherie Kippax. We thank Joan for all her efforts and wish her good luck for the future.
