Mary and Guy Mewha-Williams - Guy is a vet from Cheltenham and, together with his wife, has raised £1,000.00 from 2 functions during the year. Here is an excerpt from his newsletter:

May saw Mary's 60th birthday bash at the London Inn. About 90 people attended and it was an excellent do. Mary was very pleased to meet some friends she had not seen for ages. The evening raised over £500 and this was donated to Noah's Ark which is the animal charity based in the south of Rhodes...............

.................To boost the charity funds a bit more, the surgery held a late Halloween party about a month ago. We have an area at the end of the surgery which is, at present, unused. In this space we squashed about 40 Halloween victims and fed them pumpkin soup, baked potatoes and BBQ Hamburgers. We also forced them to drink copious amounts of alcohol. Strangely enough, they all seemed to cope quite well with this challenge. Some even excelled and had to be carried away. Such devotion raised about £500 though.
